About Growth and Development (G&D) Ps it’s a little long but I hope you will enjoy it!

A term most commonly used in business and economics, denoting a positive trajectory for an entity / a small group of individuals who subscribe to consumerism (My definition)

The truth is that G&D happens in many forms and on many levels, and not limited to:

Personal, Physical, Spiritual, Interllectual, G&D of an artform

The latter being the most significant outward manifestation of the concept, trying its best to encapsulate the dynamicity of G&D

It takes a nurturing and compassionate spirit to love G&D starting with yourself and your loved ones and extending to really an infinite circle of connections, including the arts. I believe every human has this spirit within them in varying degrees.

Ar Rahim The Source of Mercy, the Compassionate. An Arabic name for this attribute of God, which he generously shares with us. Not coincidental is the fact that the Arabic word for the womb of the mother is also Raham, from the same root word as Ar Rahim. And so a journey of compassion, growth and development begins.

The arts are another beautiful manifestation of G&D: A visible evolutionary process often reaching the pinnacle of love and compassion in its outward sense. From start to finish intertwined with loving thoughts and movements, a loving process, and a mutually beneficial loving connection between the artist and the artwork.

I learned later in life that I love observing growth, selflessly so and regardless of whether I had a hand to play in the process. And perhaps that’s why I love art so much. Join me in making a commitment to growth and development for yourself, in any small, way possible.
